Welcome to Dutch Country Animal Rescue
We are a 501(c)(3) approved non-profit organization headquartered in Dallas, TX, with a
foster network in PA, NJ, NY, TX and CA.
Our vision is for all animals to be given the opportunity to live in a peaceful environment with a warm place to rest their head, proper medical care, a full belly, and to truly know the meaning of love.
Our mission is to rescue abused or abandoned animals that otherwise would not have a chance. Most of our rescues come from puppy mills and high-kill shelters around the country.

Why DCAR
Our organization is run entirely by a network of volunteers, so all public funds received
are used directly for the rescue and care of animals in need. We typically rescue those that
need us most... dogs on death row in kill shelters and mill dogs at risk of being destroyed.
About Puppy Mills
There are thousands of puppy mills around the nation. Mill dogs are used for the sole purpose
of breeding, and are typically housed outdoors in poor living conditions, with inadequate access
to food, water, and medical care. If you purchase a puppy from a pet store, you are likely getting
a mill dog.
What We've Done
Dutch Country Animal Rescue was founded in December of 2010. Since the time of incorporation we have rescued
more than 613 dogs around the country and actively bring new dogs every week into our care. Most of our rescues
would not be here today without our efforts.
